15. Leaving the Swamps

Although devastated, the crew must get back on track without delay in order to be back on the Vengeance before nightfall. Driven by the force of despair, they rush headlong, almost without saying a word during the whole journey.

Anna knows that the group, devastated by Tyler's loss and weakened by the wounds of the fighting, is at its worst. But they must hold on: she ignores the difficulties and never ceases to motivate everyone. She stands by Scott's the whole way.

Jason moves forward with great difficulty. He struggles to hold back his tears. Regularly, he glances at Scott, a few meters forward, who seems to move with the strength of an animal. An injured animal.

As night falls, Adil finally sees the members of the expedition coming onto the wooden dock. It's when he sees their stern faces and Jason's eyes full of tears that he realizes something tragic has happened. Tyler isn't with them!
