16. Meroll

Meroll is waiting for the return of the ship that conducted the expedition to Staoslam city, led by his son Muspill. It should have returned yesterday. Meroll isn't worried; he has complete faith in his son, but on this beautiful morning, he can’t help himself from going several times to the volcano beach, near the village, just to scan the sea.

He hopes that Muspill successfully sold all the goods transported onto the continent. This remains the sole source of income for the village. Moreover, many products and items must be purchased there, as they are unobtainable on the island. These expeditions are infrequent but crucial for the rare inhabitants.

He also hopes that young Tyler Becker managed to find his brother Scott in the large city.

It is later that day when Meroll returns to the volcano's headland. He was notified a few minutes earlier: the ship commanded by his son has arrived!
